This guy smells of coconuts.
yum.
And...my very first Phalaenopsis orchid.
They're supposed to be the easiest to care for.
I don't know if I agree.

On orchid adoption

I DID say I brought a few home, right?

I'm having a hard time with restraint when it comes to these plants.

I went in for a variety...

Spidery and citrus smelly.

Many-flowered and vanilla smelly.

Yep, this one, too. Many flowers. Vanilla.

And color.

Oooh. Color.

This show at the Chicago Botanic Gardens was almost overload.

I did come home with just a few new plants.
