Tent

It has been established that I like to camp...well, maybe not on here, but I do. Ok.

It will now be discovered that I like to play with photos. I just usually don't.

Camping=photos=playing. FUN!

Tent, you bring great pleasure to my life.

Aw, don't blush!

Or get all watery-eyed.

Or turn white as a sheet.

Or hold your breath till you turn blue.

And then decay to brown.

None of that trying to blend in, either.

I like to camp.

Protrude

I just heard this word. It amused me greatly, so I thought I would share it.

pro-trude:
[proh-trood, pruh-], -trud-ed, -trud-ing.
–verb (used without object)
1. to project.–verb (used with object)
2. to thrust forward; cause to project.

Drying Herbs

Growing herbs is so fulfilling...you plant them, and watch them grow. Fulfilling...and EASY. Then comes the using of the herbs. If you want them in the wintertime, one must needs rescue them from freezing midwestern weather. That was one of my tasks last weekend.

Leaf Art?

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, or Thyme?

Caramel Apple Cake

Mmmm....pretty brunch food

Hello, Caramel Apple Cake

Is it not fun to make something really pretty--just 'cuz? Well, this cake brought sunshine and flowers and rainbows and tinkly bells to my weekend. It wasn't even as good as it looks. But, but but...it looks SO PURTY!

Used to

I used to talk to my sister about blogs. We didn't say much good about them. However, now that I've started reading blogs in my down time...well, we'll see how long one of my own lasts....

Perhaps as long as this beautiful sunrise I captured this morning? (By the way, why is it that sunrises and sunsets never ever look as impressive as a digital image [Ok, ok, I admit it...I started to write 'on film'] as they do in person...especially on a crisp fall day??) Is that a run-on sentence?
Mkay, must quit spending time at home on this...its an other-time-of-the-day time passer.
